Other Permits
Here is some
information about "specialty" parking permits you may need on Campus.
|
Loading Permits
Loading permits are intended for short duration (30 minute
limit) parking in areas convenient for delivery and pickup of
merchandise and/or equipment. This does not give the permit
holder the right to block roadways, fire lanes, curb cuts, or
other throughways. Loading permits for personal use
personal (unmarked) vehicles are available on a daily basis.
Loading permits are available for vendors
(marked) vehicles on a term basis.
Motorcycle Permits
Motorcycles have a permit all
their own, and get to park in places four-wheeled vehicles
cannot. Check with Parking Services for any restrictions on the
use of and current annual fees for the two-wheeled vehicles. All
motorcycles must display a parking permitas
do other motor vehicles.
One-Day Passes
If you forgot your pass, stop at
the information booth (located by the Bancroft entrance next to
the east ramp parking garage), Campus Police Dispatch or the
Parking Services office located in Rocket Hall for a one-day parking
pass. Current regulations permit up to 4 free passes per term
per person. After 4 freebies it's going to cost you-- currently
$3.00 per day.

Multi-Day Passes
Multi-day passes are intended for scheduled campus visitors,
visiting lecturers, seminar attendees and other occasional
visitors. People other than visitors and guests may benefit by
using a multi-day pass, although overall the cost per day to
park is more that the annual or term permit. Call
Parking Services for details about your particular needs.
Handicapped
Passes & Term Permits
People who are
temporarily disabled are eligible for special parking privileges
appropriate to the period of disability, upon presentation of a
physician’s statement describing the nature and duration of the
disability. Temporarily disabled persons must display the
appropriate regular permit according to his/her status, (e.g.,
student, faculty, or staff) and a valid temporary handicapped
permit provided by Parking Services.
People who are
permanently disabled with state handicapped plates or cards must
register their license plate or card number with the office of
parking services. Permanently disabled persons must display the
university permit according to his/her status, (e.g., student,
faculty, or staff), a university issued annual handicapped
parking permit, and their state handicapped plates or card.
