Where do I get a permit and how do I
pay for it?
At the UT Cashier’s Office (1790 Rocket Hall)
with cash or check. Rocket card payments are accepted at the
Campus Community Support Services Office (1610 Rocket Hall).
I have a ‘D’ permit;
where can I park?
You get a ‘D’ permit if you live on
campus—and you can park in white lined areas in a specified
lot. Lots designated for residents are: Academic House - lot
26, Carter Hall- lots 8, 9, Crossings - lot 25 (south end),
Dowd-Nash-White - Lot 13 North, International House - lot 26,
MacKinnon - lot 13 North, McComas Village, Parks Tower- lot 9.
Lot 25 is also overflow for all ‘D’ permit holders.
I have a ‘C’ permit;
where can I park?
You get a ‘C’ permit if you live off
campus—and you can park in white lined areas in any lot
designated for commuter parking unless signs indicate
otherwise.
Can I park in lots
with yellow lines?
Yellow-lined lots are reserved for faculty or
staff. However, commuter students can park in most of these lots
after 4 p.m. with a valid permit. Check posted lot signs for
further time or other restrictions.
I’m a freshman. Can
I park on campus?
All freshmen that live on campus must park at
the Scott Park gated lot (lot 21). The Scott Park shuttle runs
approximately every 20 minutes, departing from the
Transportation Center. Bus service to Scott Park begins at 7:30
a.m. and runs until 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Friday service
begins at 7:30 a.m. and runs until 6:30 p.m. Check
transit.utoledo.edu for a complete and current shuttle bus
schedule.
The Call-a-Ride service is available Monday
Friday 10:00 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. and Sunday 5 p.m. to 1:30
a.m. If you need assistance during other hours, please call the
University Campus Police at 419-530-2600.
Where do I go to
appeal a parking ticket?
The Parking Enforcement office is located in
the Transportation Center, Suite 1400.
I’m not on campus
every day. Do I have to buy a regular permit?
No. You can buy a day pass at $3 per day; use
the parking meters or park in the pay lot (across the street
from the east parking garage).
Do I need a permit on the weekends, on holidays or
any time classes are not in session?
No.
I have a permit but
my car is in the shop and I still need to park. Can I get a
free day pass?
Everyone is eligible for four (4) one-day
permits by presenting their license at the Campus Community
Support Services Office.
I don’t have my
driver’s license with me. Can I use my ID to get a day pass?
No.
Where can I get a
temporary permit or day pass?
The information booth (near the north
entrance to campus at the foot of the east parking garage) is
open M-F until 7:00 p.m. After hours, one-day permits are
available at the campus police station in the Transportation
Center (on the Dorr Street bus loop). Valid Identification is
required to obtain a temporary permit at all locations.
When does my permit
expire?
At the end of each semester.
I was billed for a
permit when I registered for classes but I don’t need one. How
do I remove the charge?
You can remove the charge on UT’s “Web for
Students” (http://my.utoledo.edu) or by calling the Parking
Services Office at 419-530-5843.
I actually received
a permit but don’t need it, Can I get a refund?
Yes. Return the permit to our office by the
add/drop date to receive a refund.
How can I tell if I
paid for a permit?
Check your tuition bill on the web for
students. If you paid for a parking permit, it will be listed
as a separate line item.
How do I pay for a
ticket?

Fines transferred to your student account can also be paid on
the web. You may be charged an additional $25 late fee when this
transfer occurs.
